I love woodies sunglasses! I’ve always owned designer/expensive sunglasses, but I’ve finally reached a point in life where I’m wiser about how I spend my money. I was tired of scratching pairs of sunglasses that were worth hundreds of dollars. This is my first pair of woodies and so far I absolutely love them.. they look great, are super light, polarized, have UV protection, and more importantly, are very well priced. I can see myself re-ordering more woodies. Thanks to woodies I am definitely done with designer/expensive sunglasses.
I am on my second pair bought three years ago after I lost the first pair (left them on my car and drove off). These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. They feel substantial and durable. Mine have been through all kinds of abuse with only slight wear until recently. I now have a crack in the lens. I am sending back for repair and will let you know how it goes. I am outside of the warranty of two years. Friends have used the repair service for $60 and usually get a new pair of glasses. If they can’t be fixed, I will buy another pair.Cons – too heavy for most active sports. I have used these for running once or twice but prefer my lighter non-metal/non-glass glasses for running. But for casual wear/driving/golf etc., these are great. Other con is these block out the radio interface on my car (BMW 3 series). Other polarized glasses do the same.Update: The warranty service was great. Maui Jim stands behind its prodcuts.I really liked these online, but honestly the material is super cheap. I would put them in my purse and if I had anything in it, it would reshape the glasses. The design is really nice, but they are so cheap they aren’t worth the price. I ended up throwing them away. They also hurt my ears.
