Careful, trendy packaging and extras. Nice construction.
For the value and rate that I go through polarized fitsover sunglasses, these are going to be difficult to beat.My last two pairs were Cocoons and I was very pleased with them, they are wonderful out of the box-really nice, and the wire/rubber temples make perfect adjustment very easy. BUT then eventually the wire works out of the rubber. Also the lens coatings are a bit more fragile than I’m used to.So I decided to try to find some less expensive but fully functional, cheap sunglasses. These are good. I’m about to order another pair, or two. Three of these is less than one pair of Cocoons. They are a bit wider than the mini-slim small Cocoon, but I can deal with that. Actually helps them fit over my hat better when not in use.>>>>>>>> UPDATE >>>>>>>I work out in the bush surveying land, I’ve dropped and found these a few times already (the red frames hastens the finding). While I’ve not challenged them with extended road-trips yet, I’m EXTREMELY pleased with the performance and durability I’ve found with these sunglasses. I am here to buy a spare pair. The lack of rubber temples with a hidden wire that ALWAYS eventually works it’s way through makes these MUCH more durable than the higher-priced (and my previous favorite) Cocoons. I do prefer the slightly smaller size I can get in Cocoons but the temples just have NO longevity in my experience (2 pairs at 50 a pop).Update 2017: still loving these sunglasses, much prefer the amber lens that comes in the tortoiseshell, wish it was available in all colors. Pic from the beach catching fish.Bought a pair of these for my older mother and she loves them. She had a pair that was several years old that she accidentally stepped on and I was afraid to order another pair because they might not be as good. But she likes these even more than her last one. She says she’s watching television with them and can read the writing on the screen better. (who knew) 🙂 They’re lighter weight but supposed to be more durable as well. Mom isn’t easy to please so this is a winner. Thanks.
