Very lightweight & comfortable. Sits perfectly on face & doesn’t dig into cheeks.
This is only the most recent in a long standing series of purchases I’ve made from Serengeti. This manufacturer rarely, if ever, disappoints. The good:Excellent construction and quality materials. The earpieces are well-shaped and the hinges work very well with a nice solid lock when the glasses are open. The 555 polarized lenses are by far my favorite of the options–they’re great from a functional standpoint (excellent for driving) and, in my oppinion, have a nice amount of that reflective property that polarized lenses usually have without going over the top with mirroring and making you look like a CHIPS fanatic. These lenses DO have a subtle hint of green in them, so be aware of that. The not-as-good:The folks at Serengeti are very proud of their lightweight lenses, and I would imagine that the ploycarbonate is indeed very light. You won’t notice that though, because the well-made frame is a bit on the heavy side. Additionally, as I was unable to find this style in a brick-and-mortar store I wasn’t able to see just how big they actually were until I opened the package. I took the advice of other reviewers and went with the medium-sized frame as opposed to the large aviators. I’m very glad for that, because even the medium pair is quite large. I have a large face and this style covers me quite sufficiently. Just something to be aware of.The green works great for low light days (fog, overcast with snow or rain) Really impressed with how well they work.
