I was looking for a good pair of wayfarer style sunglasses and it didn’t take me long to stumble upon Woodies! I purchased a pair just to see if I would like them and they exceeded expectations! These glasses are comfortable, light weight, and very dark. Where some companies have begun making sunglasses that barely do their job (almost clear lenses that do nothing to block sunlight), Woodies has done just the opposite. The level of polarization in their lenses is excellent as well. Working and playing outdoors, I needed something that would cut the glare off of water. The only downside that I can think of is there is nothing on them that actually grips onto you. They have fallen off of my head several times due to their slick wooden arms and plastic frames, but luckily I have been able to catch them before they hit the ground. I have resorted to removing them completely and hanging them from my shirt collar or placing them in my pocket in the pouch they come in when I am not wearing them. The guitar pick that you get is a nice bonus too.
Sunglasses like these are the way to go if you wear prescription glasses. Even if you’re willing to pay the big bucks for prescription sunglasses, you don’t want to fool around removing your regular glasses to don your sunglasses, and vice versa. If you try, you’re bound before long to lose one or the other of those expensive items. A plus for this product is the choice of sizes: the one-size-fits-all glasses tend to be larger and heavier than necessary. The correct size largely conceals the appearance of a double pair of glasses.I’ve downgraded this assessment (and returned the product) because of the brown lens color. My amber sunglasses really do seem to enhance my vision. Even here in sunny Southern California I have no need for the greater filtering offered by darker colors. These sunglasses are described as polarized, with UV protection. The fact is however that polarization is really unnecessary except for activities like water sports. I don’t believe you’ll be bothered by glare with a non-polarized product under ordinary circumstances. And chances are that you won’t need the UV protection, as your regular glasses probably carry that protection.Very cute and on trend.. you can tell the quality isn’t amazing though. Definitely not Ray-Bans. But 1/10th the price.
